Summary

As a part of the Brand & Marketing department, my goals were to achieve quality, efficiency, and consistency through design projects whilst visually promoting the brand. I initiated this improvement by creating brand guidelines, grid systems, style guides, and templates for company-wide topics.

Challenge

As the business scaled, design needs increased, and each print project required significant manual editing time. Balancing quantity and quality became essential for the business. A solution which could optimize and automate the design process was necessary.

Solution

Grid system with various paper sizes for print was established, leading to consistencies in layouts. The style guides offered clear instructions for both designers and non-designer using visual components, particularly to communicate the brand's sustainability aspect. Finally, templates for recurring graphics were designed to decrease time when designing. As a result, both efficiency and brand consistency were achieved.

SOCIAL MEDIA

The goal of building engagement on social media was met by creating on-brand, informative, and emotional graphics.

Challenge

The business necessity to keep the brand’s community engaged and customer need of belonging met at a common need of social media graphics. Although the graphics varied in objective, the consistent purpose of engagement remained.

Solution

The new social graphics were designed as templates with recurring elements. A diagonal divider in image collages was introduced to symbolize forward movement which Flix stands for. The layouts for social media remained image or vector based, with minimal text for clear visual communication.
